ecolink M12 for demanding ATEX applications
To avoid the risk of explosion products used in hazardous areas are subject to strict requirements.
ifm connectors of the ecolink series comply with these strict standard requirements and may be used in ATEX areas of the categories 2D, 3D and 3G.
An approval body responsible for Germany, DEKRA EXAM, has type-tested and certified the connectors. The EC type examination certificate for components is valid in all EU countries.
To comply with the ATEX requirements the nut of the connector has to be tightly screwed to the sensor so that it is no longer possible to open it manually. Observe the recommended tightening torques of 1.2...1.5 Nm!
