SUCCESS DAYS 2019 in retrospect:
GIB focuses on change of strategy and supply chain optimisation
The SUCCESS DAYS in Siegen began with a record number of participants on 21 May 2019. The two-day expert conference for customers and prospects of GIB attracted 280 participants the the Apollo Theater.
Many of them have become regulars of the event. This year, the audience was enthused about 15 lectures held by internal experts, satisfied customers and an external motivation speaker. Björn Dunkel, Chairman and Managing Director of GIB (Gesellschaft für Information und Bildung, German for: Society for Information and Education) and Nadine Rahman, CEO of ifm solutions gmbh, gave a prospect of the new strategy of GIB to develop from an add-on producer to a solution provider.
In the course of the SUCCESS DAYS, GIB specialists gave lectures on anything new about the GIB solutions for supply chain optimisation ranging from sales forecast, key data calculation, supplier management and order bundling to stock management, production planning and controlling.
The lectures explained how these solutions can be used to achieve best possible and sustainable results. This includes cost reduction, transparency of all process steps, better service level and increased planning quality.
Important presentations given by customers provided insight into the practical aspects: How do implementation projects work, how can challenges be met ideally with the GIB solution and how does an organisation need to develop to ensure that strategies for supply chain optimisation will be successful?
The GIB solutions "to touch" offered the workplaces of the test track. For several years during the SUCCESS DAYS, GIB have been offering their customers the possibility to test the software solutions with regard to their logic, their functionalities and their usability. Customers can use this opportunity to address their questions about the products directly to the GIB specialists.
More sociable and casual networking options became possible during the evening event at the end of the first day, which, according to the SUCCESS DAYS' sporty and Olympic motto, "Together for gold", took place at a gym. When the participants entered the gym circle, they were greeted with thunderous applause by the GIB colleagues – an unforgettable moment.
A photo box made it possible to capture the moment. Everyone could be photographed on, in front of, under or above parallel bars. GIB's customers and employees showed great sportsmanship and were often quite adventurous. Luckily, the event ended without any accidents, but with many sensational pictures.
The planning for next year's event will start soon.
