In the first integrated assembly webinar ifm presented various solutions for flexible and climate-neutral production. In order to respond to the increased requirements regarding shorter product life cycles and a wealth of variants the reliable identification of workpieces at guided carrier systems and the knowledge about the current state of the manufacturing process step is essential.

Keep track of your products and ensure accurate processes by recording and referencing all manufacturing process steps in your facility with the help of Optical or Radio Frequency Identification Systems.

2D and 3D-Optical systems as well as process sensors ensure continuously and reliably the quality of parts and workpieces during mounting and assembly.

Sensor data are converted into useful information and can be made available both in the controller and the cloud via the so-called Y-path. IO-Link is used for the intelligent networking of sensors, edge devices collect data from the OT level, operate as gateway to the IT world and converts data into readable information. ifm´s moneo IIoT software platform bridges the gap between OT and IT.

The seminar primarily addresses people from electrical planning, project planning, quality assurance mechanical engineering and maintenance from manufacturers of special-purpose machines, robotics, assembly and handling systems as well as customers from the metal processing and automotive industries. Those interested from other areas are also welcome.

Frank Fiedler

has been involved in the ifm group of companies for over 30 years. As Global Business Development Manager Robotics Automation he is responsible for the global strategic orientation of the ifm Group's sales for customers in the sectors Assembly Automation, E-Mobility, Industrial Robots and Machine Tools. In particular, he is responsible for building up technical expertise and global communication in the field of e-mobility. On this basis, he provides impetus for IO-Link connectivity, industrial image processing, identification and object recognition in these industries. Focus: Robotics & automation

Thorsten Schwermann

has been working for ifm in various executive sales positions since 2003. As Global Business Development Manager Automotive Industry he is responsible for the strategic orientation of the ifm group’s sales and marketing for customers in the automotive and machine tools sector. Electromobility, networking, digitalisation and automation in production count among the topics of primary importance to him. He is ifm’s contact person for customer projects in the 5G private networks section. Focus: Automotive industry and machine tool

Michael Haake

has been working for ifm since 2011 and can look back on many years of previous professional experience as commissioning engineer in factory automation. In his role as product manager for pressure sensors, his daily tasks include worldwide market research, market launches, international sales training and constant customer contact. Wiebke Behrends

works in product management for identification and image processing systems with over 4 years of experience as an application engineer. Her focus is on identifying, defining and implementing track and trace solutions in logistics and manufacturing.

Frank Neuwirth

is been with ifm since 1998. Since 2005 he has been responsible for identification systems. In the role of a product manager, he is responsible for the product definition of RFID and camera-based code reader systems. Global market research, market launches, international sales training and constant customer contact are part of his daily tasks. Focus: RFID and code reader systems

Julian Hurtienne

is working for three years for the ifm in product management for industrial imaging. In his role as product manager he is responsible for the product lifecycle of Vision Sensors and accessory products. His daily tasks includes detecting customer needs, driving innovations, market launches and international sales trainings. Focus: Vision Sensors
