Using sensor technology from ifm for valve control
Video report
As raw materials are often stored in silos, valve sensors (MVQ) can be used to check whether a valve flap is open or closed – so the first signs of wear can be detected at an early stage. In this way, Sto can also see whether a valve is worn or blocked, which gives them the opportunity to prevent faulty batches and save time and money in production. Another advantage of ifm's sensor technology is the IO-Link connection which allows Sto to access the sensor directly from the central system, making it easy to operate and maintain it.
