Interface for factory networking.
The hardware and software components allow direct networking of all connected sensors and actuators with a local server via an Ethernet network. Using this connection, machine data, process parameters and diagnostic data can be directly read and processed by IT.
The heart as communication interface is the ifm LR AGENT, also as embedded version. It can communicate with different technical systems, with the largely inhomogeneous world of sensors, controllers and machines.
LR AGENT ensures bidirectional communication with different communication protocols and is therefore a communication gateway. LR AGENT CP (Connectivity Port) was developed in cooperation with SAP to enable communication with SAP ERP as well as cloud-based solutions such as SAP HANA database.
The software LR SMARTOBSERVER allows continuous condition monitoring, data evaluation and organisation of maintenance of machines and equipment using customer-specific cockpits. The system provides customer-specific reports and analyses as well as alarm management for defined processes.
The software LR DEVICE for parameter setting of IO-Link sensors by means of IO-Link USB and/or IO-Link masters is another link in the chain of optimisation potentials.
