What output signal is provided by the sensors?

OSSD outputs for evaluation with approved, two-channel evaluation units without cross-fault monitoring.

Why are there two different product families?

To meet the requirements of the food industry (GG/GF/GIxx2S) and those of mobile machines (GG/GF/GIxx1S).

Do the devices also have a close zone?

No, the fail-safe function does not require a close zone.

Is permanent immersion in water allowed?

Yes, but make sure that the connection area, including the LEDs, is not under water.

Is permanent exposure to chemical media allowed?

The housing is made of V4A steel and has the chemical resistance for which this material is renowned. Certain chemicals can destroy the sensor, depending on the exposure time and concentration.

Why does the sensing range change when the sensor is flush-mounted?

Flush mounting the sensor will result in a sensing range reduction (among other things, the mounting tools have an influence on the reduction of the sensing range). For an explanation, please refer to the Original operating instructions.
