Electronic manometer with smart pressure display
ifm pressure sensors have proven to be a reliable solution in the food and beverage industry for many years. Following the successful updates of our transmitters and display versions, the PG manometer has now also been revised, introducing a rich set of new and improved features.
The multicolour LED display enables clear and unambiguous visualisation of pressure ranges, switch points and minimum and maximum values. Mechanical pointers, which are prone to errors, are replaced by durable and highly visible LEDs. This technological advancement ensures improved clarity and reliability.
Combined manometer and electronic pressure sensor
The PG combines the excellent readability of a manometer display with the strengths of an electronic pressure sensor, resulting in a precise pressure sensor with comprehensive visualisation capabilities.
Smart LED display
The multicolour LED ring enables clear and unambiguous visualisation of pressure ranges, switch points and minimum and maximum values. Benefit from tailored visualisation options and adjust the working ranges to your specific application via IO-Link. There is no more need to mark working ranges manually as with conventional manometers. Plus, the process value is also displayed as a numerical value. PG17 allows you to choose whether to display the pressure or temperature.
Once installed, you can align the display of the sensor mechanically - regardless of the installation situation.
Hygienic and industrial device versions
To meet the requirements of both hygienic and industrial applications, we have developed two separate versions with different technical properties and approvals, helping you achieve the best possible performance in each case.
Resistant ceramic measuring cell
The electronic manometer is distinguished by its resistant ceramic measuring cell with integrated diagnostic function, enhancing safety and confidence in critical applications.
Exceptional safety in hygienic applications
The hygienic device version can continuously withstand medium temperatures of up to 150 °C and provides the temperature value via IO-Link. Dynamic temperature changes as they occur in CIP processes are compensated.

Information and options via IO-Link
In addition to typical functions such as parameter setting and process value transmission, the manometer offers further information and options via IO-Link:
- display optimisation (brightness, colour, up to 5 layouts)
- measuring cell diagnostics
- min. and max. memory, counter
- device temperature
Loss-free data transmission
IO-Link enables loss-free data transmission, as conversion losses are excluded via digital communication. External influences, such as magnetic fields, have no effect on data transmission. Diagnostic data is also provided via IO-Link.
Transparent processes
The current pressure is output precisely and in high resolution via IO-Link. This makes it easy to keep an eye on your process at all times. In addition, the medium temperature is output cyclically via IO-Link (PG17xx).
Flexible remote configuration or directly on the HMI
The pressure sensor can be configured quickly and easily via IO-Link - even remotely or during operation.
Planning to replace the device?
The backup & restore function automatically backs up and restores parameter sets - only the device needs to be replaced.
