Vibration sensors and transmitters
DIN ISO 10816-3 / ISO 20816-3 is a globally recognised industry standard that specifies the requirements for evaluating the mechanical vibration of machines for measurements taken on non-rotating parts. The assessment and evaluation is based on the overall vibration (v-RMS) and defined limit values for different machine types.
VKV vibration sensors (analogue), VVB vibration sensors (IO-Link), VTV vibration transmitters (analogue) and VWV vibration transmitters (wireless) have the following characteristics:
- Vibration transmitters and sensors can easily be retrofitted and monitor the overall system health over time.
- Standardised communication is used to detect increasing vibration levels and any deterioration of the condition is reliably detected via warning and alarm thresholds, preventing consequential damage.
Products
VKV vibration monitor
The VKV vibration sensor provides online monitoring of the overall vibration condition of machines and equipment to ISO 10816. The sensor measures the RMS vibration velocity on a non-rotating component surface and triggers an alarm if the machine vibrations are too strong.
- Mechanical setting rings on the sensor for intuitive setting of switch point and switching delay
- 1 analogue output, 1 switching output
VTV vibration transmitter
The VTV vibration transmitter continuously transmits the RMS vibration velocity (v-RMS) via a 4...20 mA analogue signal. The sensor can thus be easily integrated and enables reliable vibration monitoring thanks to monitoring directly in the controller or frequency converter.
- Versions for up to 125 °C with protection rating IP 69K
- Version for hazardous areas (EX 3D/3G)
- 1 analogue output
VNB vibration sensor with display
The VNB vibration sensor continuously transmits the RMS vibration velocity (v-RMS) via a 4...20 mA analogue signal. This means that the sensor can be easily integrated into existing control systems. Without existing infrastructure, visualisation and alarming can be implemented directly on the device via an RGB display.
- Integrated history memory with real-time clock
- 1 analogue input for monitoring an additional measured value
- 2 switching outputs / 1 analogue output (configurable)
Wireless VWV vibration transmitter
The wireless vibration transmitter VWV intermittently transmits the rms vibration velocity (v-RMS) and temperature to the correct gateway via a proprietary mesh protocol. Setting up multiple sensors is simple. The gateway can be integrated into the IT environment either via MQTT or HTTP Rest. In addition to Ethernet TCP/IP and Wi-Fi communication, it also supports network-independent communication options based on the NB-IoT, LTE CAT m1 or 2G GSM mobile radio standards.
- Radio communication
- Battery-powered
Note: Please observe the regulatory restrictions due to country-specific radio approvals indicated in the data sheets of the relevant devices.
VVB IO-Link vibration sensor (1-axis)
The VVB vibration sensor enables reliable vibration evaluation according to ISO 10816. The v-RMS is not only provided via the IO-Link interface, but can also be conveniently configured via the interface using a suitable software tool. But that is not all! With a frequency range of up to 10 kHz and several other condition indicators (shock a-peak, friction a-RMS, crest and temperature), the VVB offers everything you need for condition monitoring. Even raw data to perform more in-depth root cause analyses is no problem for the VVB!
VVB3 IO-Link vibration sensor (3-axis)
The second generation of the VVB IO-Link vibration sensor not only offers all the key advantages of the first generation, but also sets new standards in smart condition monitoring. An essential feature is the digital 3-axis MEMS technology with a frequency range of up to 5,600 Hz, making it possible to measure and monitor the common condition indicators along the X, Y and Z axes.
- Integrated characteristic value history of the last 9 days
- Synchronised raw data mechanism for all measurement axes
- BearingScout™ function for bearing and unbalance analysis.
