IO-Link signal converters

In existing installations, PLCs receive analog, binary or RTD signals from sensors to input cards. With Industry 4.0 becoming popular, end users are looking for ways to enhance their machines and systems with intelligent data. IO-Link technology allows existing systems to receive many benefits such as an easy method to acquire sensors' digital data, detailed parameters, diagnostic and identification data. What if you can convert these standard signals into IO-Link and prepare your control system for industry 4.0?

Unlike traditional control signals, IO-Link offers increased bandwidth and full access to the sensor’s intelligence without changing sensors and wiring. Using your existing architecture, these IO-Link signal converters open new possibilities to maximize the overall efficiency of your machines and processes.

IO-Link signal converters

Analog inputs

  • Conversion of analog signals into IO-Link
  • Supports analog values as current or voltage signals (4...20mA or 0...10V)

Counter and pulse extender

  • Evaluation of pulses for decentralized object, batch, and consumption metering
  • Suitable for fast counting applications up to 2 kHz
  • Stretching and/or delaying of 24 V switching pulses

Speed monitor

  • Transmission of the current speed to the controller via IO-Link
  • On-site speed display with color change (red/green)

RTD signals

  • Can connect to any manufacturers 2, 3, or 4 wire RTD.
  • Automatic configuration for either Pt100 or Pt1000 RTDs.

Analog outputs

  • Conversion of IO-Link into analog signals
  • Supports analog values as current or voltage signals (4...20mA or 0...10V)
  • Converts IO-Link process values into two analog signals 4...20 mA

Data splitter

  • Plug & play allows integration without changing the installation
  • Quick provision of sensor data to higher-level IoT/cloud systems

Field relay

  • Ideal for field applications thanks to protection class IP 67
  • 2-channel version - wear and bounce-free semiconductor relays
